Project: Low- and high-order nonlinear optical processes in various materials (solids, liquids, and plasmas).

Institution: Institute for Advanced Studies at New Uzbekistan University (Prof. R. A. Ganeev, Uzbek scientist with the highest H-index in Uzbekistan).

Successful candidates will join a dynamic team of researchers to use the lasers, vacuum and spectroscopic facility for the nonlinear optical studies of materials. Among the research projects, the studies of the low-order optical nonlinearities of quantum dots and large nanoparticles, high-order harmonic generation in plasmas, gases, and solids, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy of materials, nanostructuring and modification of various properties of surfaces, etc. Expected deadline for application is 5 November 2025. Preferred applicant qualification is the Master Degree in the physical sciences.
